Here’s a sight you don’t see every day, at least not on the Rice campus: snow falling from the sky and onto the tongue of a wandering (and probably wondering) student in front of the Sallyport at Lovett Hall. Greater Houston expected to receive several inches of snow during the daylight hours of Dec. 4. At Rice, a light rain turned to snow early in the morning, with occasional bursts of big white flakes delighting the community despite falling temperatures and a chill wind.
