Try the new voice-activated telephone directory search

There’s a new way to connect with those at Rice: “One Call to Connect,” a directory assistance tool Rice IT Telecommunications is evaluating.

The new system allows users to easily conduct voice-activated searches of the Rice telephone directory and automatically connect to that number. The system is currently configured to work for all campus departments, faculty and staff extensions; student numbers are not included.

To use “One Call to Connect,” simply call ext. 1111 from on campus or 713-348-1111 from off campus. Say the first and last name of person you’re trying to reach or the name of the department.
