In its sixth week, Rice’s 2009-10 United Way campaign made an impressive increase, achieving 59.2 percent of its $125,000 goal. Pledges and contributions ranged in size from $5 to $1,000.
With four weeks remaining in the campaign, the President/Provost Division leads the campus in funds raised with $20,161, and the Investments Division leads in participation, with 80 percent.
In the spirit of the season of giving, the Rice United Way campaign team wishes to thank its many colleagues who have already taken steps to help out Houstonians in need. In these challenging and uncertain times, the community has never needed the United Way more, and the United Way has never had a greater need for strong support from Rice.
