Text from Fondren Library’s catalog

Ever look up something in Fondren
Library’s catalog and then search for a piece of paper to write down
the call number so you can wander the stacks to find it? For those
with a cell phone that can receive texts, the days of hunting paper are
gone.

Fondren Library now offers texting from within the catalog.

Users
perform their search as they normally would “in the catalog” — not
using “One Search” — and when the results appear, click “details.”
Click the “send text” icon near the item’s location, enter the mobile
number to which the text should be sent and select the mobile phone
provider. Note that text messages rates apply.
