‘Bark in the Park’ May 16
Owls baseball going to the dogs

FROM RICE ATHLETICS

Despite amassing a 28-16 overall and 11-4 conference record, Rice baseball is going to the dogs. For the May 16 home game against Southern Miss, the Owls will open Reckling Park to four-legged friends for the program’s first “Bark in the Park.” On that day fans are encouraged to bring their dog (one dog per person) to the game. Representatives of the Houston SPCA will be on hand to give away prizes and answer questions.

Each fan must purchase a ticket, register and sign a release for their dog before entering the park.

Complete rules and registration and release forms can be found at http://www.riceowls.com/sports/m-basebl/spec-rel/043010aaf.html.

Rice has won five consecutive games for the fourth time this season and will look to extend that streak at Marshall this weekend. The Owls lead the Thundering Herd by two-and-a-half games in the Conference USA standings.
