Each year, the holiday season seems to get busier, which is
why it’s even more important to find ways to relax and take time to live in the
moment. Human Resources is encouraging staff and faculty to explore the
resources offered by LifeWorks, Rice’s employee assistance program. 

In addition to consultants who can help employees find time
for themselves, reduce stress and stay healthy, LifeWorks offers a new audio
CD, “Simplify,” for order or download featuring the therapist and
best-selling author Mary Pipher. 
She talks about family, work, money, time, information overload and the
overscheduled lives people lead today. 
She also shares stories and advice on how to live in the present, relax
and slow down, and carve out time for joyful moments every day.

LifeWorks also has online resources such as a short podcast
on “Setting
Limits on Multitasking” or articles such as “Ten Ways to Get
Organized at Work and at Home,” “Managing Holiday Stress”
and “Simple
