Rice community celebrates Diwali
ISAR hosts Deepotsav 2010

Last month more than 300 Rice community members joined in a “Diwali” celebration at the student center. Titled Deepotsav 2010, the event featured music, dance and art. Diwali, which literally translates to “festival of lights,” celebrates the victory of good over evil; it’s believed that the day marks the return of Lord Rama after he vanquished evils and evildoers from society. |
