Rice’s School of Social Sciences was honored with the Office of Public
Affair’s Brandy Award, a recognition of excellence in using the
university brand standards to help Rice develop a stronger presence with
all of its constituents.
Director of Creative Services Jeff Cox
presented the award to Lisa Birenbaum, manager of communication and
academic affairs for social sciences, at a communicators’ forum this
week. Cox commended the school on its consistent and correct use of Rice
brand elements, including using the official Rice Web template on every
social sciences’ department website.
Previous recipients of the
Brandy Award have been Parking and Transportation, the Barbara and David
Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center, Rice University Police
Department, the Shepherd School of Music, the George R. Brown School of
Engineering and Facilities, Engineering and Planning.
