Teach For America applications due by Dec. 17

Seniors who will be graduating in May and graduate students who are interested in working for Teach For America must submit applications by Dec. 17 to be considered for the next round of screening.
Teach For America recruits outstanding recent college graduates, graduate students and professionals from various backgrounds to teach for two years in low-income communities. The program is intended to eliminate educational inequity by enlisting the nation’s most promising future leaders. Members receive training and support, including development of leadership, management and critical thinking skills, to help them guide their students to academic success. The organization provides full salary and health insurance.
After Dec. 17, one more round of applications will be accepted for the school year that begins in fall 2011. The deadline for that round is Feb. 4.
