Rice United Way Campaign concludes record-breaking year
Celebration planned for Jan. 26

FROM RICE NEWS STAFF REPORTS

Donations are still coming in and can be accepted through the end of the citywide campaign March 30, but Rice’s 2010-11 United Way Campaign officially ended Jan. 18.

“It’s been the best year ever,” said campaign manager Greg Marshall ’86, who is director of university relations in the Office of Public Affairs. “We’ll reveal the final results at our campus campaign celebration on Jan. 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Central Quad near Brochstein Pavilion. Campaign supporters will be receiving e-mail invitations to that event this week, and we hope that they’ll all be able to turn out for the big announcement of our campaign total and pose for the official group photo with Rice’s giant check.”

Rice trustee Bobby Tudor ’82 is this year’s citywide United Way Campaign chairman and will be a featured speaker at the Jan. 26 celebration.
