Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research announces advisory board

Nine prominent Houston-area leaders have been appointed to the newly formed advisory board of Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research.

The inaugural board, whose members were announced this week, will provide oversight and guidance as the Kinder Institute for Urban Research refines its research, educational and outreach programs with the goal of becoming one of the premiere institutions of its kind.

Members of the advisory board are distinguished Houstonians who share a successful and long record of community service and leadership. They bring expertise, enthusiasm and experience in a wide range of areas, which will help to guide the strategic development of the institute.

Rich Kinder will serve as chairman and Nancy Kinder will serve as president.
