Videos by Rice students receive honors

Two videos produced by a group of Rice students to promote breast cancer awareness last year placed in the top three in the YouBoob Funniest Video Contest. “Can I …?” won second place, and “Your Boobs Can Save the World” came in third.

Students who worked as part of the production crew or as actors included Austin Lipinski, Gabi Chennisi, Avery Marcus, Adrian Frimpong, Emily Nichol, Becca Jaffe and Andres Goza — all from Wiess College, Adrien Pellerin from Sid Richardson and Austin Edwards from Brown.

Lipinski fared better this month with a video for Sour Patch Kids that he filmed, directed, edited and entered in a commercial contest. His video won first prize — $5,000.

Frimpong was the sole actor in the video; Lipinski’s production crew consisted of Pellerin and Chennisi. To view the commercial, visit http://www.poptent.net/media/25936.
