Marketing experts to discuss beating bigger competitors
Rice’s Jones Graduate School hosts marketing symposium April 1

Marketing experts from around the country will gather at Rice University next week to discuss “David Versus Goliath: How to Win Against Larger Competition” in the Jones Graduate School of Business’ fourth annual marketing symposium 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 1 in McNair Hall.
Speakers will include Peter Butterfield, chairman and CEO of Lakefront Capital and former CEO of Kia Motors North America; David Kenyon, vice president of worldwide channel marketing for Advanced Micro Devices; and Melissa Mohr, associate brand manager of Dr Pepper Snapple Group and a 2010 Rice MBA alumna.
The Rice Marketing Club organized and is hosting the event. Sponsors and partners for the event include the American Marketing Association (AMA) Houston, the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, Jones Partners and the Business Marketing Association Houston.

The symposium is free for Rice faculty and staff and $24 for students, $42 for Rice alumni and AMA members and $60 for general admission.
