Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies earns Brandy Award

Public Affairs presented its most recent Brandy Award to Graduate and
Postdoctoral Studies at the May 10 Communicators’ Forum. Brandy Awards
recognize excellence using the university brand standards to help Rice
develop a stronger presence with all of its constituents.

Celeste Boudreaux, assistant dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, received the award for leading a successful two-year effort that helped more than 20 Rice graduate departments and programs bring their websites on brand. She accomplished this as part of Project GROW (Graduate Recruiting On the Web), where an important aspect of their project was teaching faculty and staff how to properly reflect not only their departments, but the university as a whole in all their online recruiting efforts.

Previous
recipients of the Brandy Award have been IT Web Services, the School of
Social Sciences, Parking and Transportation, the Barbara and David
Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center, Rice University Police Department,
the Shepherd School of Music, the George R. Brown School of Engineering
and Facilities, Engineering and Planning.
