People, papers and presentations

The Office of Public Affairs/Multicultural Community Relations received an award from the International Association of Business Communicators for its Community Dialogue Luncheon and Rice Connections Speakers Series programs in the category of social responsibility. The Community Dialogue Luncheon program serves as a forum for community leaders to discuss social issues that affect all sectors of society. Rice Connections invites community leaders to present a lecture to Rice faculty, staff and students about a pressing social issue. Both programs help to bring together people from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds to get to know each other and form a network.
