Music and the mind
The Shepherd School of Music hosted more than 30 music and science fellows for a four-day conference — Exploring the Mind Through Music — this week.
The conference featured innovative cross-disciplinary seminars: Science fellows studied music theory and history while the music fellows learned about brain morphology, music perception and experimental design. Distinguished visiting and resident faculty also gave presentations on the frontiers of current research.
