Programs help recognize employee contributions

FROM RICE HUMAN RESOURCES

As a whole, Rice employees spend more than five million hours a
year working to improve the university, and their hard work and dedication does
not go unnoticed, thanks to Rice’s school- and department-based staff recognition
programs.

In the months ahead, Human Resources will work with
departments to share information about programs at Rice, to assist in the
development of new programs highlighting performance and service recognition
and to publicize the staff achievements and milestones of staff and faculty
service. HR will also continue to administer a universitywide recognition
program at two milestones: 20 years, with a framed certificate and a Rice
lapel pin, and at retirement, with an enhanced gift selection, including a
larger variety of Rice-specific items to choose from and the dedication of a
tree on campus for those leaving Rice with at least 20 years of
benefits-eligible service.

For information or questions about these programs, contact
Rebecca Millet, employee relations specialist, at rmm6@rice.edu or
713-348-4791, or Colleen Dutton, director of compensation and employee
relations, at cdutton@rice.edu or 713-348-4755.

2011 here.
