Rice business expert available to comment on Apple’s future

What does the future have in store for Apple now that CEO Steve Jobs has stepped down? Rice University business expert Anthea Zhang, professor of strategic management at the Jones Graduate School of Business, is available to respond to this question and others regarding Jobs’ sudden resignation.

”Tim Cook has been in the COO position for years and run Apple smoothly during Steve Jobs’ previous medial leaves, and he’s been groomed for the CEO position at Apple,” Zhang said. ”Therefore, I don’t expect dramatic changes in Apple’s strategy or market position in the next few years. However, this is a very competitive and dynamic industry with strong competitors. In the long term, Apple without Jobs will be uncertain.”
