New director of alumni and corporate relations joins Jones School

Joy Brown Kirst has joined Rice as director of alumni and corporate relations at the Jones Graduate School of Business. Currently a second-year student in the Rice MBA for Executives program, Kirst comes to the Jones School from Maxwell Drummond International, an executive search firm, where she served as a vice president. During her seven years with the company, she helped build the office from two employees to 17 and managed teams that executed searches in North and South America, as well as Europe and Asia/Pacific.

Kirst has an undergraduate degree in Russian studies and a master’s degree in library science. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Managers, the Women’s Energy Network, Jones Partners and the Rice Alliance. She lives in Houston with her husband and two children.
