Media planning stories surrounding National Philanthropy Day are welcome to attend a “thank-a-thon” at Rice University from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Willy’s Statue in the Academic Quad, 6100 Main St.

Nov. 15 has been designated National Philanthropy Day by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The Rice Annual Fund and the Centennial Campaign have planned a weeklong series of events to celebrate philanthropy’s historic and ongoing role in the university’s success, including three events where students can write thank-you notes to donors who have supported their experience at Rice.
