Program rises two spots from 2009 national ranking

Rice University’s MBA for Professionals program is No. 6 in the nation, according to new part-time MBA rankings from Businessweek. In addition, the program is still on top in Texas and the Southwest.

Moving up two spots from its previous No. 8 national ranking, the MBA for Professionals is the highest nationally ranked program in the Jones Graduate School of Business.

“Continued recognition for excellence of Rice MBA programs from Businessweek and other publications is very gratifying, particularly in terms of key metrics: high-quality research, academic quality, student feedback, alumni success, curriculum, teaching quality and caliber of classmates,” said Bill Glick, dean of the Jones School. “It’s exciting to be part of a school that is having a major impact on all of these dimensions on a local and global level.”

The Rice MBA for Professionals program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive MBA learning experience that meets the demands of today’s working professional. The program offers both evening and weekend options and features innovative classes, expert faculty and a diverse group of classmates who will become colleagues for a lifetime.
