Duncan College freshman Steffi Hu was named Miss Chinatown USA 2012 Feb. 4 at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. She also took top honors in the talent competition. Hu is a cognitive sciences major and biochemistry minor and plans to attend medical school following her graduation from Rice.

The Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship took top honors in the education category of the 2011 “Marketer of the Year” competition, hosted by the Houston chapter of the American Marketing Association. The Rice Alliance and two other Rice University nominees — the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business and the Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies — will be recognized at an awards event March 12, where the 2011 Marketer of the Year will be announced. For more information, visit www.amahouston.org.
