The Rice Student Volunteer Program, Rice’s largest undergraduate service organization, needs your support on Facebook to help the program win money and Zipcar driving credits.

Last year, RSVP won $5,500 from “Students with Drive,” a grant program administered by Zipcar Inc. and the Ford Motor Co. Now the organization is in the running for the grand prize of this year’s program. RSVP could potentially win $5,000 in Zipcar driving credit, $10,000 for RSVP and another $10,000 for Rice.

RSVP promotes community service in various ways, including providing support to campus-based student service groups and informing students about local, national, and international social service opportunities.

The “Students with Drive” program recognizes applicants in five different categories — academics, arts, athletics, student life and community service. Winners are chosen through Facebook based on the number of “likes.”

To vote, visit http://apps.facebook.com/students-with-drive. Then “like” ZipcarU and vote for Rice’s RSVP. Voting ends at midnight April 18.
