Rice alumnus named president of the University of Tulsa

Rice alumnus Geoffrey Orsak ’85 has been named the 18th president of the University of Tulsa.

Orsak has three degrees from Rice: a bachelor’s (’85), master’s (’86) and doctorate (’90), all in electrical engineering. He was a member of Will Rice College.

Orsak is currently the dean of the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at Southern Methodist University. He will take office at the University of Tulsa July 1.
