Wiess College junior Rohini Sigireddi was awarded a 2012 scholarship by SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics, for her potential contributions to the field of optics, photonics or a related field.

Rice’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) was recognized by the National SAAC with the organization’s Award of Excellence. The honor, which is given annually, recognizes a campus SAAC that has organized special and unique community service and outreach work as well as contributed in other ways to sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and growth.
