Centennial video series: Baker Commons

The Rice University campus is a whirlwind of campus projects and construction in its centennial year. Some jobs are new installations and others are designed to reinvigorate some of the university’s treasured spots.

The commons in Baker College, one of the university’s 11 residential colleges, is a gathering place that is 100 years old this year, just like Rice. Over the years the space has undergone many changes. This year Facilities Engineering and Planning crews, in conjunction with Housing and Dining, are giving the historical spot a much deserved facelift.
