Sid Richardson College senior Kanwal Hooda discusses her experience in the Susan McAshan Summer Service Internship Program with Brian Hammer, associate director of programs for the Chao Center for Asian Studies. Hooda was one of several students who presented this week at a drop-in poster session in the Humanities Building. The internship is part of an interdisciplinary minor in Poverty, Justice and Human Capabilities. The program, which is housed in the Center for the Study of Women, Gender and Sexuality and directed by Professor Diana Strassmann, makes it possible for students to work for nonprofit organizations and charities across the United States and around the world.
