Celebrating America’s diversity

Rice University Representative Y. Ping Sun and Rice President David Leebron welcomed guests to the America’s Table Thanksgiving Breakfast held at Rice Memorial Center’s Grand Hall Nov. 16. The event brought together various faith and ethnic-based communities and political leaders to celebrate the diversity and commonality of the city and nation. Part of the city of Houston’s annual Citizenship Week celebration, the breakfast was sponsored by the American Jewish Committee, Houston Region, in conjunction with Congressman Al Green, the city of Houston and the Rice University Consular Ladies Club.
