Noted presidential historian Douglas Brinkley available for State of the Union interviews

HOUSTON – (Feb. 11, 2013) – Noted presidential historian Douglas Brinkley is available via Rice University’s television interview studio today and tomorrow for national television interviews discussing President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address Tuesday evening.

Brinkley, who is a professor of history and fellow in history at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, interviewed Obama shortly before Election Day for a Rolling Stone magazine cover story. Brinkley, along with other historians, has been a regular guest of the president for roundtable discussions on various historical topics.

Rice University has a VideoLink ReadyCam TV interview studio. ReadyCam is capable of transmitting broadcast-quality standard-definition and high-definition video directly to all news media organizations around the world 24/7.
