Sociology Professor Stephen Klineberg, co-director of Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research, will release findings from the 2013 Kinder Institute Houston Area Survey April 23 during a news conference at Rice and a sold-out luncheon at the River Oaks Country Club. The findings will be reported at news-network.rice.edu/news.
The 32nd annual study covers such topics as Houston’s current economic outlook, quality-of-life assessments and perspectives on the region’s demographic transformations.
On April 26 the Kinder Institute, Discovery Green and Houston Public Media will host an evening of community celebration, featuring a presentation by Klineberg of the 2013 Kinder Houston Area Survey results, an audience Q-and-A, live music, dance performances and testimonials from iconic Houstonians. The event will take place at Discovery Green, 1500 McKinney, at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
