Jacot, Hebl TEDx talks posted online

TEDx talks by Jeffrey Jacot and Mikki Hebl are now available online. Jacot, an assistant professor of bioengineering, discussed the use of stem cell-derived tissue to repair infant hearts and Hebl, a professor of psychology and management, talked about modern discrimination at the Rice TEDx held in April at Duncan Hall’s McMurtry Auditorium.

TEDx is a branch of TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design), a nonprofit organization devoted to “ideas worth sharing.” The organization hosts annual conferences in the U.S. and abroad that bring together thinkers and doers from around the world who are challenged to give “the talk of their lives” (aka “TED talks”) in 18 minutes or less.

Rice will host a TEDxHouston event at Stude Concert Hall on Oct. 12.
