South Korean foreign affairs ministry official to speak at Chao Center Nov. 15

Wook-jin Chang, the director of North America Division I in the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will present “Republic of Korea-United States Alliance: Past, Present and Future” at 2 p.m. Nov. 15 as a guest speaker for Rice’s Chao Center for Asian Studies. Rice students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend this public event, which will be in the Mechanical Laboratory Building, Room 209.

In his presentation, Chang will discuss the 60-year history of the alliance between South Korea and the U.S. He will cover political and economic issues related to the alliance and suggest the future of the alliance and implications.
