Rice University School Mathematics Project (RUSMP) received a Brandy Award from Public Affairs for its proper use and promotion of the university brand. Project Director Anne Papakonstantinou and Instructional Support Specialist Alice Fisher accepted the award at the May 7 Communicators’ Forum.
Brandy Awards recognize excellence in using the university brand standards and support for Rice priorities such as the Vision for the Second Century to help Rice develop a stronger presence with all of its constituents. In addition to branding, RUSMP was recognized for its endeavors to support the university’s goal to more fully engage with the city of Houston by providing a bridge between the Rice mathematics research community and Houston-area mathematics teachers and students, which it has been doing since 1987.
