Rice School of Architecture (RSA) students are drawing interest near Anderson Hall, where they’re building their Sound Worm, an interactive installation that will receive live sound from microphones in various places on campus. The project won RSA’s spring Charrette, which challenged students to design a physical installation to represent the intersection of analog and digital lives. Students expect the project to be complete in early fall. Pictured: Kyle Henricks, a shop manager and digital fabrication facilitator in the RSA Wood Shop, welds sections of the twisty tube together. Great photograph, I had a very good friend who had worked in a factory, he spent many hours welding and this image bought back some memories, thanks for sharing!
