BRC celebrates 5th anniversary April 10

Rice University will mark the fifth anniversary of its BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) with an open house April 10 at the BRC, 6500 Main St.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 2 p.m. and feature free ice cream and door prizes.

A special seminar on translational research at 4 p.m. will be presented by Anil Sood, professor and vice chair for translational research in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology and Reproductive Medicine at MD Anderson Cancer Center.

A reception from 5 to 6 p.m. will follow the seminar, with a grand-prize drawing for an iPad Mini.
