Unconventional students at Rice 2015: Better education through chemistry

Senior chemistry major Dante Zakhidov has made it a point to take advantage of the many opportunities at Rice University — both inside and outside the lab. It’s no surprise coming from the guy who says, “Everything around you is chemistry. Everything around you is made up of these particles and elements and knowing how they work together I think it was something that really fascinated me.”

As the Hanszen College senior looks back at his four years at Rice, highlights include serious lab work, science-based outreach and some good times with friends.
