Memorial service for Malcolm Gillis planned for Oct. 28

A memorial service for President Emeritus Malcolm Gillis will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 in Stude Hall at Alice Pratt Brown Hall.

Gillis served as the sixth president of Rice University from 1993 to 2004. When he died Oct. 4 he was a University Professor, the Ervin Kenneth Zingler Professor of Economics and a professor of management.
