Members of KiLife Tech, winner of the 2015 Rice Business Plan Competition, rang the Nasdaq closing bell in New York City Oct. 14.
KiLife, an entrepreneurial team from Brigham Young University, developed a smartband to alert kids when they’ve wandered too far from their parents. The group won nearly $620,000 of the more than $1.5 million in cash and prizes awarded at the world’s richest and largest student startup competition April 16-18.
