Arthur Gottschalk, professor of composition and theory at the Shepherd School of Music, received a “Best of Show” Global Music Award in October for the composition and recording of “Requiem for the Living.” Global Music Awards is a showcase for original music, unique voices and emerging artists. The judging process includes listener impact, technical quality, uniqueness and styling.
