Leebron discusses campus internationalization on NAFSA panel

Rice President David Leebron participated in the NAFSA Sen. Paul Simon Campus Internationalization Presidential Panel in Washington, D.C., that was webcast live Nov. 17 during International Education Week. Leebron (pictured in the center above) and presidents of other Simon Award-winning universities discussed their approaches to campus internationalization. Rice received the 2015 Sen. Paul Simon Spotlight Award from NAFSA: The Association of International Educators in recognition of the Brasil@Rice Office, which helps faculty members expand their academic and research collaborations with leading Brazilian universities and institutions. NAFSA is the world’s largest nonprofit association dedicated to international education. Adria Baker, Rice’s associate vice provost for international education, attended the award presentation with Leebron. The presidential panel discussion can be viewed here.
