Owls attend Parker lecture

Alumna Sofia Adrogue ’88, center, and several Rice students attended the final Harvard lecture by alumna and former Houston Mayor Annise Parker ’78, second from left. In January, Parker was selected for the 2016 Harvard Institute of Politics Spring Resident and Visiting Fellows class. Adrogue said she learned that Parker was one of the most popular Harvard fellows and all her lectures/study sessions were quite successful and very well attended. As a resident fellow, Parker interacted with students, developed and led weekly study groups and participated in intellectual discussions with the Harvard community over the course of the academic semester.
