Shamoo represents Rice at All Things Research 2016

Rice Vice Provost for Research Yousif Shamoo was one of nine senior research officers from top U.S. universities who participated in All Things Research 2016, a roundtable discussion July 12 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. The Association of American Universities and the Science Coalition hosted the event, which covered what the nation needs to do to bolster innovation, the tough issues facing science today and research and society’s grand challenges. Among the media who attended were writers from the Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Education, Science, Nature, Scientific American, Politico Pro, Physics Today and Bloomberg.
