The flavor of Texas

Rice’s new students enjoyed Texas’ favorite food group – barbecue – inside the Rice Memorial Center’s Grand Hall Aug. 15. The annual O-Week gathering, traditionally hosted outdoors at the home of Rice President David Leebron and his wife, University Representative Y. Ping Sun, was moved inside the RMC due to rain in the forecast. The hearty meal was complemented by tunes provided by a disc jockey. (Photos by Jeff Fitlow)
