Intersection of business, diversity and inclusion is topic at Rice’s Jones School Jan. 20
HOUSTON – (Jan. 9, 2017) – Bringing together leading local business and thought leaders, Rice University’s Jones Graduate School of Business will host a conference on “Sparking Success: The Intersection of Business and Diversity and Inclusion” at the school’s McNair Hall Jan. 20. The event will provide a forum for dialogue about diversity and inclusion in the business world and will connect people to issues important in today’s workforce.
The conference is open to the public and registration is $25. Keynote and panel themes will include Houston’s Changing Demographics; The Business Leadership Case for Diversity and Inclusion; The Generational Collide: Baby Boomers, Gen-Xers and Millennials in the Workplace; Building Inclusive Partnerships and Alliances; and Industry-specific Perspectives of Diversity and Inclusion: Real Estate, Energy, Health Care, Finance, Consulting.

Who: Keynote speakers Stephen Klineberg, founding director of Rice’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research and a professor of sociology; Elizabeth Campbell, partner and chief diversity officer at Andrews Kurth Kenyon; and Subha Barry, a Rice alumna and vice president and general manager of Working Mother Media.
Peter Rodriguez, dean of the Jones School, will give welcoming remarks.
When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20.
