Rice U. students intern for Super Bowl Host Committee

HOUSTON – (Jan. 30, 2017) – Six Rice University sport management students are getting the internship of a lifetime as they work with the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee in preparation for Super Bowl LI between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots Feb. 5.

“We have a lot of involvement with the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, which I think is just awesome,” said Kerri Barber, the department administrator for Rice’s Department of Sport Management. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our students.”

Rice’s students are handling a variety of activities, from event planning to volunteer coordination to marketing.
