Mike Spence, winner of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, discussed “The Multiple Challenges to Achieving Shared Prosperity and Political/Social Cohesion Across the Globe: A Time of Expanded Opportunities and Heightened Risks” March 28 at a lecture hosted by the Rice Initiative for the Study of Economics and the Office of the President. Spence is an expert in economic policy in emerging markets and the William R. Berkley Professor in Economics and Business at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
