Neha Sahai, a Will Rice College senior majoring in architecture, decided to come to Rice on a last-minute whim. Not knowing what to expect at Rice, she says her experience as an owl surpassed every expectation she had coming in.
“Looking back, I’m so grateful that I made the decision that I did because I can’t imagine what my life would have been like at any other place,” Sahai said.
Sahai says one of the most important things she did at Rice was implement wellbeing initiatives at the Architecture school and promote the importance of mental health, especially in high-stress environments.
“Rice has made it possible for me to do so many things in college that I never even thought were possible while giving me the support system I didn’t expect to have anywhere,” Sahai said.
