New students get a taste of Texas

In Texas, barbecue is more than a favorite local food — it’s practically a religion. Rice’s new freshmen enjoyed local barbecue and the company of their classmates Monday night at the home of Rice President David Leebron and his wife, University Representative Y. Ping Sun.
