Rice Sport Management faculty available to discuss Astros in the World Series

HOUSTON — (Oct. 24, 2017) – As the Houston Astros prepare for the first game of the World Series this evening against the Los Angeles Dodgers, faculty from Rice University’s Department of Sport Management are available to discuss all aspects of the event, from public relations to crisis management to sports analytics.

Clark Haptonstall, department chair and a professor in the practice, is available to discuss sports marketing, media relations and public relations.

Diana Crossey, a professor in the practice, is available to discuss large-scale events and event management.

James Disch, an associate professor of sports management, is available to discuss using sport analytics.

Karen Jones, a lecturer in the department, is available to discuss in-stadium risk management.

Tom Stallings, a professor in the practice, is available to discuss ticket sales and revenue generation.
