Lisa Basgall, director of Rice Emergency Medical Services (REMS), recently installed an automated external defibrillator (AED) on the west side of the first floor of George R. Brown Hall. Rice now has 48 of these life-saving devices across campus. The locations are posted under “Emergency Resources” on the interactive campus map. REMS has directions for using AEDs on its website at http://rems.rice.edu/pad-sites, along with info on upcoming CPR classes. (Photo by Jeff Fitlow)
